The Beginning#
1/ The $TRUMP trade a few days ago allowed many big players to gain millions or even tens of millions of dollars. As a small retail investor, I also made a relatively considerable profit. Here is a brief review.
On the morning of the coin launch day, due to the time difference while traveling abroad, I woke up to find it was already past 1 PM local time.
2/ After opening WeChat, I found that the group messages had reached 999+. After quickly browsing the information, I immediately withdrew coins to prepare to buy $TRUMP. Due to the slow withdrawal on Binance's SOL chain, I ultimately completed the entire purchase at around 14U.
3/ That afternoon, being in a travel environment and to ensure wallet security while simplifying operations, I transferred all 5431.15 $TRUMP I held back to Binance.
In the early hours, I saw news from the formula stating that Trump’s wife Melania had issued a new coin, so I immediately started selling $TRUMP on Binance at a price of 66U, continuing to sell until around 62U, clearing my position.
4/ The logic behind this operation is that the issuance of a new coin may have a siphoning effect on the old coin, leading to a significant pullback of the old coin. Subsequent results confirmed the correctness of the strategy.
At the same time, I used part of the USDT from clearing my position to buy 400 $SOL and withdrew from Binance in two transactions (200 each time), preparing to buy $MELANIA.
Unfortunately, the first withdrawal arrived quickly, but the second was delayed by nearly an hour, which made me very dissatisfied.
5/ After the withdrawals arrived one after another, I bought nearly 400 $MELANIA at an average price of about 5U.
After a short rest, I woke up to find that the price had touched 13U. Based on the current price estimate, the value of the second-tier coin usually does not exceed 30% of the first-tier coin, and 13-14U has exceeded 25% of the first-tier coin's price at that time, so I cleared my position at a price of 10-11U, selling about 840 $SOL and transferring back to Binance.
6/ Using these $SOL and the USDT from previous sales, I bought all $TRUMP at prices of 41U and 44U. At this point, my $TRUMP holdings increased to 10405.7, nearly double the initial purchase amount. This was thanks to the swing trading in the early hours and the profits from the second-tier coin trading.
7/ I then cleared my $TRUMP position at a price of 49.61U before the speech. Although I regret not selling at the high point of 63U when it went live on Robinhood, I am satisfied with the overall result.
8/ Finally, I made a swing trade, buying from 35.9U to sell at 39.99U. Before boarding my flight back home, I cleared all $TRUMP, totaling 573703 U.
9/ My profits cannot compare with those of big players, but considering the impact of the time difference while traveling (I only bought at 14U), I believe my operations were optimized, and there is no room for improvement upon review.
